andy e 1 Posted August 3, 2004 Oh my, that is nice. Strong shapes in the composition and I think the silhouettes are perfect. Did you process this film yourself, or did you get it done at a lab? Either way, looks like it came out very nice. Link to comment
audrey lee reid 0 Posted August 3, 2004 Its part of my first 2 and a bit rolls. The negs were done by the lad at the cost of 37 pounds!! Must start doing them myself or else the cost will overtake my camera gear. My first thought upon seeing the negs was that it was way too dark, but the scan showed some details, think here I probably over USM and contrasted. Will try lowering both for the other side. BTW - I just love this camera, am quite comfortably with the 50mm. Thank you for getting me started. Link to comment
davidmalcolmson 0 Posted August 4, 2004 A very nice shot let down by the restricted range of tones. This scene needs an area of true black to underpin the tonal scale - it should be present in the dark area behind the archway as well as in the silhouetted figures. Why not have a go at Levels in Photoshop and see what can be done to improve matters. Link to comment
audrey lee reid 0 Posted August 4, 2004 'London Tourist' a shot I saw long while back, never forgot and admired much. Appreciate your kind comment here, but are you adviceing that I burn in the blacks even more? Was actually worried that the image was too black, did my best to lighten :) Shows how much I need to learn. Will have another go at it. Link to comment
audrey lee reid 0 Posted August 4, 2004 A little detail was found, did my best to lighten, probably should stay darker? Thank you for comments. Link to comment
