tomhallphotographycom 0 Posted July 31, 2004 Thank you all. I was sitting on a terrace when these flowers caught my eye. Just before a thunderstorm I had this great light "session" of clouds and sun working together. Guess it worked. Link to comment
ivan colman 0 Posted July 31, 2004 The central flower forms a nice composition. The exposure is perfect resulting in great detail and very natural, saturated colors. Although my approach would be a little different. I would have isolated the central flower against a black (or dark blue) background. This would of course give a more artificial image, contrasting the more natural feeling you put in this photo. Link to comment
tomhallphotographycom 0 Posted July 31, 2004 Ivan, thanks for your elaborate comment. I see where you are coming from but in this case it was not a shot I could manipulate or setup. It was shot on a terrace while I was having coffee. I liked the backdrop eventhough it does not isolate the flower. That is what usually would be the idea to focus the attention. still I like the diverse colour backdrop. Considering it wasn't a studio shot or an altered situation. Thanks though. Link to comment
