mplonsky 0 Posted July 28, 2004 I was pleased to get a symetrical view of this guy as they typically turn their heads/bodies when I place the camera directly in front. Link to comment
peter_jones16 0 Posted July 28, 2004 Wow, these eyes are SO cool. DOF is great. This is a dragonfly? Link to comment
WJT 619 Posted July 28, 2004 Mark, I would not presume to tell you how to do macro photographs. You are, in my opinion, the acknowledged Maestro in this field on PhotoNet. But I think you have better work than this in your portfolio. The multiple "catch-lights" are distracting and admit to the viewer of the photographer's presence. While the DOF is phenomenal, I would still like to see less fall-off, especially on the far left/right. I'm sorry, I can only rate this as Very Good. Regards. Link to comment
allonkira 0 Posted July 28, 2004 This is the first time I realize that dragonflies have a mouth the same as camels...:) Excellent DOF, mark! Link to comment
nick_seamore 0 Posted July 28, 2004 I still didn't managed to make a good portrait of a dragon-fly and I know this is indeed very difficult but you did it again. Great DOF with these kind of magnifications and beautiful colors too. Do I understand it good that you combined the +2 diopter with the X2 AF teleconverter and the 100mm macro? If so, is the working distance bigger than the old reversed setup. I'm very curious because I also want to upgrade to a DSLR, in the 'far' future. Hope to see much, much more of your work in the future and thanks for sharing this beauty. Kind regards, Link to comment

dave_wilson1 0 Posted April 5, 2010 Mark, I have macro on K25 that I worked for hours and hours on, and this just melted anything I thought I accomplished. Thanks for the bout of depression ;)) Just absolutely awesome, what simply awesome work! 10+ Link to comment
