Bill, I think with a bit of cropping this can be a very nice image. I've uploaded a suggestion for you. It gets rid of the cars and focuses more on the subject, emphasizing the diagonal element of her stance.

Whoops, I just realized I cropped off the wonderful shadow on the bottom. Just imagine it back in :)

Pete: I can't resist saying that I thought the title I gave the image would point viewers toward one of the aspects that made it work for me. In a perfect world, the photo would be tighter. But it didn't happen that way, and the image remains very special to me. Thanks, everyone, for looking...Bill

The fluid diagonal form of the girl in the context of the curving bars and shadows is exquisite; the composition is perfect as-is! The color is coherent and helps hold the photo together. (If I were tempted to do anything to this photograph it would be to "clone out" the cars in the background.) Wonderful shot!

Artistically it's a good shot. You captured the look of determination in the subject's eyes and the skill of her limbs.

However, I wish the light was a little warmer and the scene a little less contrasty. Hard to avoid in the midday sun, I know. You probably had to quickly take this photo or lose the moment (familiar situation to me). But I'd think about using a warming polarizer filter on the lens for this kind of shot. Also, I agree with the cropping suggestion above, leaving the shadow in, of course.
