hanna_cowpe 0 Posted July 24, 2004 This image evokes conflicting emotions for me. On the one hand I find the modern architecture very appealing. There is contrast in tones and in subject elements. It also evokes regret in that it seems to portray how we have decimated the landscape to reduce hills of trees to hills of glass, with one lone tree standing in the distance. Perhaps I'm being overreactive. That does tend to happen at this late hour. In any case, it's an impressive image and well shot. Link to comment

andresborbon 0 Posted July 25, 2004 Incredible tones. At firs sight, I was sure it was taken with B&W film (an asumption that is very tricky, in these days). Congratulations, the perpective is clean and expressive. Only can give you a 7/7, but for me deserves more. Link to comment
toy 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Just goes on to show how much more depth is added by black-n-white. Saw your other (coloured) photograph of the same place and didn't find anything special, but this one is wonderful. A couple of step backwards or maybe sitting down on the ground and using b/w seems to have done the trick. Nice composition. Link to comment
