afterthoughts 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Linda, did you think about cropping some off the top? Either way, great candid portrait. Link to comment
johnorban 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Linda, this truly does communicate "pride". Great capture of that expression. I agree with the suggestion for a tighter crop. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Thank you Howard and John, for the suggestion. I decided on this crop not only for balance, but to include more background information. Link to comment

codepic 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Very good shot indeed. I was especially happy about preserving the background. Especially the boxes on the top shelf. You made the right decision. For my taste... P.S: Thank you for taking time to comment on my portrait of Alina... Link to comment
amélie 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Hi Linda, a beautiful portrait, his expression is wonderful. I understand your crop choice, I actually was flipping through a magazine yesterday and noted a famous persons image in a similar composition, I wondered if I'd ever compose that way myself. But it works for the reason you state. Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted July 23, 2004 delightful shot, Linda! The shelves are a bit of a dilemma but on balance I reckon it looks best as it is. They add to the sense of immediacy imo. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Francesco and Jim...thank you for the thumbs up... Jani...yes, I think it adds more than detracts. Amelie...Thanks. I also like the design element of the background. Becky...I went back yesterday and presented a copy of this to his wife. One of the pleasures of taking portraits... Colin...thank you for stopping by! Link to comment
margaret_s. 0 Posted December 1, 2004 This is so good! How did I miss this one?... (Maybe because I haven't been around for months?...) Nice one Linda. Love the tones in this photo. It has a Pottery Barn look and feel to it (jeez, I wonder where my head is these days! ;-) Link to comment
