Orange Bath

How does the color work in with the rocks - good blend or too boring?

Well David, I would not call it boring, but more the lack of a real subject to focus on. I like the image and the colors are nice, but something on the rock or in the foreground water such as a small, brightly colored reptile would have helped tremendously. I know, I know, easier said than done, but what I am saying is "interesting . . . but not captivating."

Well I don't know from brightly colored reptiles, except that if I see one I stay way the hell away from it! But I do agree with the point that nothing here engages the viewer. The orange reflection is beautiful and must be photographed. But the structural elements here don't lead the eye anywhere. I don't think we need brightly colored lizards and the like, perhaps just simplifying the composition to include 2 or 3 elements along with the orange glow. You'd probably have to get wet to get the shot, but if there's no brightly colored reptiles swimming about, what the heck, get wet.
