dkatz02 0 Posted August 12, 2004 I feel like the foreground is way too dark...any photoshop suggestions? Link to comment
benjamin.portraiture 0 Posted August 12, 2004 If you shot it in RAW, Photoshop CS has a tool (can't remember what it's called) that adjusts both highlights and shadows and pulls all the info that's available from each. If not, you can try a couple of things. Try a levels adjustment layer and tweak the histogram for each channel separately to see what you can bring out. Another thing you can do is to make a copy as an adjustment layer and fiddle with that. Try using a mask to preserve your sky if that's the way you want it (I might like to see it a bit brighter myself - which could take care of some of your foreground shadows at the same time). Overall, I really like the shot though. You might want to invest in a graduated neutral density filter for next time though. Link to comment
nick sagalkin 0 Posted August 12, 2004 Very nice photo. I agree with your self-critique that it is a bit dark, but I do not have any suggestions to remedy it. Link to comment
rkfoxman 0 Posted August 12, 2004 What a sky! Perhaps adding something on the foreground would have made the image even better? Curious, what is the location. Link to comment
dr dan 0 Posted August 28, 2004 Wonderful glow. I don't have any trouble with the moodiness of the dark foreground, there's plenty of detail Link to comment
mountaineer1965 0 Posted September 14, 2004 I like this shot. The softness of it is attractive. Well done. Link to comment
