I love the composition of this. You picked a wonderful sky to work under, and you were able to catch the wonderful tones of the paint quite well. Congrats. Would hang nicely anywhere.

what makes this standing out is the almost blue pavement talking to the sky. I don't bother about parts being very dark as this is a "mood" picture, not a documentary one.

Very nicely done. I really like the composition. Colours are good and the softness of the photo suits the composition very well. The gateway leads the eye to the bottom part of the lane and makes me wonder what the path leads to. The texture of the bluey coloured path add an interesting effect too.

Like that blue sky and the shape of the street.Althought that the dark arch really work...the shade on the right side might be a bit to strong.Otherwise great shot...

Hi Henri,

These little gateways and arches in small villages are wonderful to photograph anf dthe sky has been reflected nicely in the flagstones. I would prefer to see a little more detail on the right hand side as I can just about make out some writing on a colourful red canopy which probably would have added to the shot.

It is not your monitor, Alberto, it is really dark on the right part. It was dark in reality; as you can see, it is under a porch.

Quite a common cut... but the result worth to become a postcard! In particular I love the colours and the contrast in the sky: did you enhance it somehow? It's the same kind of effect I try to have in my pictures...

Yes, I was there in 2000 (I think it was). Not likely the same tour, since we were on horseback. Remarkable place, though--seems to be off the usual tourist track.
