wilsontsoi 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Beautiful, Ken. Looks like you've just about perfected the scanning technique. Love the simplicity and boldness. Most favorite from you so far! Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Dude, I obviousley live in the wrong place. When the sun sets here, it just goes dull and then gets dark. I love this shots. In what year was this taken? Also, how are you getting these quality sscans? My HP scanner does fine on prints but when it comes to slides, boohoo! Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Lovely shot Ken, this angle it reminds me of Norfolk Island which is famous for their Pine trees. Didn't know you dive, isn't it a great hobby? Of course living in the Equatorial climate here in Asia we have more chance and places to dive all year round. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted July 22, 2004 I'm using the Microtek Artixscan 4000tf. Used to have an HP Photosmart scanner. The Artixscan is much better and easier to use. I'm scanning at the highest resolution, 4000 dpi, in case I want to print the photo, although such a high resolution isn't necessary if you're just going to display the photo on the monitor. If you got a large collection of slides / negatives then I recommend a high quality scanner. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted July 22, 2004 Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Alec, don't remember seeing any u/w photos in your portfolio. With your talent, you should pursue u/w photography if you haven't already. Check out my "Tube Sponges" pic. I'm digging through my color slides for other decent u/w pics. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Beautiful colours. I would rather say "after sunset" because it seems that the sun has disapeared, and the lake's water is not very luminous. Would you like to see my last loaded photos ? Paris 14th July fireworks (1) ; Paris 14th July fireworks (2) ; Paris 14th July fireworks (3) : Paris 14th July fireworks (4) . Thank you Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted July 27, 2004 This is beautiful. The colors, the softness of the water and the silhouettes of the moutains and trees all make for a super compostion. 1982? I hope this reamins unspoiled! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted July 28, 2004 Been there since 1982 and the water during broad sunlight is not nearly as blue due to all the commercial development around the lake. When Toni and I were there in 1998, there was a big political storm over the issue. Thanks for the comment. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 30, 2004 Hi Ken, diving is my passion similar to photography. That's why I dive in exotic places like Fiji, Bunaken Marine Reserve, Manado, Phuket, Tioman, PNG, Noemea, Vanuatu and Norfolk Island in the South Pacific. Underwater photgraphy is a different ball game with expensive pressurised camera equipment if we want great pictures. That's why I'm not into it for now. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted July 31, 2004 I can understand not doing u/w work if you don't have the proper equipment. And equipment is crucial, in addition to a good eye, for a good shot in the u/w environment. Something you should consider for the future, though. Be a shame not to expand your photographic opportunities, especially with the great eye and technical abilities that you have. Link to comment
david_cassidy2 0 Posted June 15, 2005 I really like this image. Very serene. The cool tones accentuate the warm tones. Nicely done. Link to comment
