antonio.giacomo 0 Posted July 20, 2004 I am a beginner when it comes to flowers, so any helpful suggestions will be welcome. I found it difficult to get the textures off the petals. Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted July 20, 2004 The texture is nice although I think your subject matter is a little soft (not the focus but the pedals themself). With regards to the fly, it is a bit too small to be considered a secondary subject here unless you were to single him out and that would be an entirely different photo altogether. One thing that I feel might help the photo a bit would be to "photoshop out" the branch on the upper right of the photograph if at all possible with the clone tool in PS as it is slightly distracting. Other than that this is a nice photograph. The focus tight, the lighting pleasant. Experiment with different flowers or even desaturating the color from this one and seeing how it changes the impact as a B&W. Link to comment
antonio.giacomo 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Thank you for the comment, Norman. I thought about removing the stem. The problem is that when the flowers bloom the stem bends over and the flowers hang down from it, so someone who knows about these flowers might think that it was not right. I have posted another version, cropped to emphasize the fly more. Link to comment
