alecee 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Seems like a deserted pool hall, a ghost town? The dust settled on the pool table and the room is locked away just to be seen from the outside glass windows in Bodie State Historic Park. If walls could talk perhaps you can ehar the chatter of people from way back then. This time the Sony F717 performed even better then the Nikon D70. With it's swivel lenses I am able to position lens directly on the glass window and use both my hands to block all distracting light to get this clear picture through the badly stained glass window. malcolmdwyer 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Well done... it does seem to be taken from within the room. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted July 19, 2004 what a place! Didn't know until now that dust can do such a nice patina.. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Yes Malcolm, the Sony F717 does have it's strong points. Andrea, wait till you get there. Lot's more to be seen than this. B/W? Bradley? Hmmmm....I thought the colors are muted enough. I'll try to insert one to see if there's a difference. Thanks everyone for your comments. Link to comment
petejr 0 Posted July 19, 2004 I like this image, Alec. It seems so bright though. I imaged places like this as being rather drab and dark. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Beautiful shot Alec. I can`t tell that you shot thru a window pane. I think I would kill for that billiard table. Shot deserves a 7/7. regards, Jim. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Bradley, I'm SURE b/w would spoil the special character of this picture! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks Pete. It's actually quite dark and dirty looking through the window. The Zeiss lens really works well here to capture the details - even through the glass window. Jim, I'm humbled, it's an honor coming from a great photographer like you. Thank you. Link to comment
