guillelobera 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Bob Kennedy was born on November 20, 1925, in Brooklin (Massachusetts, USA). Brother of President John F. Kennedy, former Attorney General, Senator and Presidential candidate, he was shot on June 5, 1968, at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles (California, USA) shortly after claiming victory in that state's crucial Democratic primary. He died the next morning and he was buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, just steps from his brother's gravesite. In 1971, a more-elaborate gravesite was completed, at the request of the Kennedy family, by architect I.M. Pei (who also designed the East Wing of the National Gallery of Art). The new gravesite retains the simple, white Christian cross of the earlier site, and adds a granite plaza (like JFK's gravesite which adjoins it) and two inscriptions from Senator Kennedy's most notable addresses. jayme 0 Posted July 19, 2004 The color & detail here is eye openingly beautiful. The compostion is peaceful and uncluttered. This is very beautiful and understated. Link to comment
Link to comment

laura2 0 Posted July 19, 2004 I wouldn't know whose grave it was unless I was told, but the composition is incredibly effective and gives a lush, gorgeous panoramic view of green, tastefully broken up by the presence of the bleached white cross. Excellent work. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted July 21, 2004 Guillermo, what do you think of this croping, to eliminate the empty part on the top right corner and tighten the composition ? Link to comment
ajoy prabhu 0 Posted August 17, 2004 I guess I like the ORIGINAL composition because the slope of the hill and the shadow line lead the eye to the cross as it sits small and insignificant in the entire frame... just my take on it. :)) Ajoy Link to comment
carlos_castillejos 0 Posted August 19, 2004 I agree with Mari Mar, simplicity is what this image transmit, IMHO you have captured perfectly the meaning and the soul of that place. Technically I like the textures on the grass and the lighting of course. Very pleassing image. Link to comment

Link to comment
