Spanish Dancer

Just a garden shot. Done outside in bright sunlight. Converted to

black and white in photoshop.

This is great. I did a double take looking for a spanish dancer until I read that it is actually a flower. Flower shots are hard to get and this makes it look easy.

Thanks, I think you can almost see the woman's leg below, her head thrown back, skirts flaring. Or is my imagination running away with me? It's actually the top view of a pale blue giant iris in my garden.

This is almost a great image. Good idea too. The contrast between the shadows and highlights would be better if they were smoother. And a polarizer would have knocked down those sparkles. A large soft light further away from the subject would have been better and a plus development would have given brought back the correct tonal contrast range. James
