It's really too bad her tongue is sticking out. Otherwise, this could possibly have been a good photo.

I generally refrain from allowing subjects to stick their tongues out in photos, unless it it a humorous jest for the camera or a sensuous gesture. It rarely adds anything to the photo, except the feeling that the person was either mentally handicapped (not funny anyway) or on drugs (not funny unless they are at a party wearing a lampshade). The pose is nice, and the lighting is as well. Tell her to leave her tongue in her mouth next time.

You are my hero. I can't imagine ever telling a "Subject" to keep their tongue in their mouth. I, a person that totally does not understand the female gender, does know that to do so would only start a nightmare session. As a matter of fact, I really can't remember a session that the subject "didn't" at one time or another stick their tongue out. If only to loosen up their facial muscles or to break the seriousness of the moment. Of course I admit that some of my subjects might be mentally challenged, or they would be letting Stuart do their shots.
