henrimanguy 0 Posted July 15, 2004 I like photography. I cannot call myself a photographer but I try to make good photography. I like painting too, but I am unable to hold a brush, so I make paintings with my photos and Photoshop. You can see on photo.net some of my attempts in this way. I like also woodcutting, but it is similar to the painting, I never have learned the technique and I do not even know drawing neatly. There is a master in this domain that I love very much, it is Moritz C.Escher. He is famous in particular for his ?impossible images?, but he has also made numerous woodcutting of landscapes, in particular of Italian and Corsican villages. Having pass last year some days in Tuscany, I have made some photos, some of which you can see in my portfolio. I have tried to work on some of these to make them like woodcutting, more or less in the Escher?s Style. You can see here four of these attempts from the ɧlise Santa Anunziato in Siena. What do you think of it, and what is the one you prefer ? (See large for have a sufficient size on each) Link to comment

henrimanguy 0 Posted July 15, 2004 Eric, the colour version brings no more. The colours or the church are black and white, the sky is grey, and the paving stones also. I think this treatment highlights the architecture of the church. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 15, 2004 Interesting series though somewhat limited by the size of the PN upload. Link to comment
