No Fire and no digital enhancements!

This is a section of one of the most photographed 'items*' in Hong

Kong!

I set out yesterday to take a specific photograph! This was not the

photo I set out to take. Obviously I think it is interesting......

the question is, "Do you?"

* This 'item' is a part of the architecture of Hong Kong Park!

What a neat idea and cool effect! From this and the following post it looks like you've played with this a bit, so I'm looking forward to seeing more experimentation here...

Andrew! My saviour! I was going to pull this pic because no one commented on it. I was looking for comments. Sure! Ratings are nice but comments help us improve.... as long as they are constructive.

The picture is not manipulated. That's how it looked when I took it off the camera. (Thus the title!)

I prefer the 2nd one. However, a freind has emailed me with an idea to improve that..... I will try to take that picture this week sometime!

Thanks for stopping by!

David;

I have not had a chance to comment on this one until now. I think it is a great image, one of the best you have done. I think a bit more contrast might help but that is IMHO.. I am tempted to fiddle with it but will resist the temptation.

Owen,

The contrast is something I played with. However, when I did so, the 'fire' didn't look right!

Maybe I should play with it for longer.

Thanks for the kind words. I do like this image too.

When I said "played with it" I meant the idea of the pool light used like this, not the image itself... I'm looking forward to see what the "improvements" will entail.
