The tones and lighting could be much better here. Using lighting to paint this is in my opinion very important in a piece like this. The range of tones is too small, the composition is somewhat haphazard, however, given the subject, Im sure it's a piece that a dad would love to have.

thanks jennifer for the comment I tend to agree but the client wanted this piece in BW I thought it was better in the color mode as it shows off the hair better. que sera

I could not stop smiling seeing the picture which I liked . Just a word about the crop , would have liked to see the chin of the man..
