henrimanguy 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Taking the critics on the previous version of this panorama into account, I have scanned and work on it again to present you this improved (I think) version (and also a bit wider). I have since request critics on it yesterday, but having loaded others photos after that, it does'nt appear in the "three last loaded photos" of my personal page, so that the members who had rated and commented the previous version haven't see it. So I have delated the photo loaded yesterday and I reload it today (and if you think that I am a complicated person, you are right). Link to comment
charles_clemens_r_ling1 0 Posted July 9, 2004 nice, but very conventional landscape photo -- I like the different levels of depth Link to comment
edgars_purins 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Henri, This is a nice view. I just wonder, did you use the same exposure for both shots ? It seems the right one is more exposed, which makes stiching tricky, but you managed well. If you see these views often, try using Fuji Velvia 50 slide film, it has helped me a lot for the sky. henrimanguy 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Thank you for ratings and comments. Edgar, I am unable to answer, for these shots were made in 2001 and at this time I did not note down the technic parameters of my shots. The only thing I can say (you are not obliged to believe me) is that I did not intend to make a panorama of this landscape. I just had took some shots around me without thinking to stitch them after, and this is only recently that I noticed this two could be joined together without too much problem. It is a pure accident. clauder 0 Posted July 9, 2004 Although I'm not really into landscape photography, I somehow like this one! I think it is because of the muted color, and the diffrent bands blending togehter, giving a feel of depth... I do like it! nice panoramic BTW, what did you use to stitch it? Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted July 9, 2004 This version is better in tonal range and in the sky but I prefer the mist on the plain (2) again because I like the scenery with rays of light between the trees very much (a matter of taste, of course). Reprocessing was worthwile. Regards, Carsten Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted July 9, 2004 thank you to have go to the trouble of watch again this photo. Claude. I have used photoshop to stitch the shots. I know it exist some softwares specialized in stitching of panoramics, but I prefer have the total control of the work, particularly when the shots are not sufficently of equal values of colours, contrast and brightness, as it was the case here. Carsten. I like too "mist on the plain (2)" because of the effect made by tbe sun rays over the hedges. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted July 9, 2004 Henri, yes imo a definite improvement on the original (and good) upload. I particularly like the way you have given the foreground more character. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted July 13, 2004 As I say in the "comment" box, this is a little area of agricultural plain where there is no interesting landscape to photography, except at certain moments like this one. Link to comment
