good stuff to eat

I like this. Good balance of highlight and shadow with good detail in the shadows. The backlight adds accents in just the right measure. The composition and DOF are well used, I like the way the beater blades are positioned counter to your subject. You might want to crop a little off the left side and just a wee bit off the top just to tighten things up a bit.

The best thing about this photo is that it catches something of the sheer joy of being a kid.

I really like how you've composed this and the lighting is very effective.
