Why did you make this so vertical?

I felt the open blue sky with the upper cloud formation nicely balanced the yellow field and the single tree. The image in my folder from which this was born seemed too static and uninteresting. Many photographers create horizontal "panoramics", so I thought I would attempt the rarer vertical "panoramic".

I'm all for people trying something different. Well done, I think it works.
