prefer the other shot for the turned head and the direction she is facing. I know this one probably sits better since there is more space in the direction her head is pointing.

Thanks for the comments. I'm no birder--neither hunter, watcher, or photographer. Abby, on the other hand, is obsessed with birds and chases them whenever she can!
