salvatore.mele 1 Posted July 2, 2004 This cairn -pile of stones- marks a pleasent summit in the French alps. I would greatly appreciate comments on the composition: is the image balanced? Do you like the cairn to divide clouds and sky? Would you have put it in another point of the frame? Is the panoramic crop working? You see, lots of questions... waiting for your answers! Thanks. ddamian 0 Posted July 2, 2004 I like it. I don't perceive the cairn to really divide the clouds and the sky. A good thing in my opinion. I also like how the cairn fits in the landscape, almost like a miniature peak. I would have liked to see it a little taller ever if it makes the picture wider. It makes the details kind of hard to see like this. The panoramic crop works well I think. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 8, 2004 Salvatore, the composition is well done but I would like to compare it to a shot with the cairn off center a bit more. I don't know if the background would allow this but from your candid photo it seems that it would. Possibly crop some off the right and add some on the left? This has a good sky view. Link to comment
olivier_nguyen 0 Posted July 8, 2004 thank you very much for mountain pictures. I love your composition. it is very effective with a contrast and simple composition. I am wondering about kodak gold 100 print film. are you developing this film yourself at home or you send it out? the color is so rich with this film on your pictures meanwhile the colors are very ugly with my print . I send it out for developt. Link to comment
