just sport, no games

That's the frame I like the most from my first ever attempt at

photographing a basketball game, or any game for that matter. I

found the pace really fast and was struggling to be at the right

place at the right time, and have everything ready to capture the

decisive moment: either auto-focus didn't lock but kept searching

(tried to work around it by pre-focusing and switching it off, but

then the action was elsewhere...), or I was too close or too far, or

someone was getting in the way.

Anyway, what do you think of this one? I personally like the

blurry "movement" effect as to me it depicts the action nature of

the shot, but fear it may be overdone (?!)

I don't think the blur is overdone. Haven't tried shooting sport at all but this must be extremely challenging.

If only the other player, in dark outfit, had been also in the air trying to block the ball.
