Yes, it's art in that the photographer has handled the tonal values well in this high key image. The lighting is excellent for the key treatment and other technical aspects of the image are of high quality. And they ARE individually lovely.

It's just dismaying that the photographer finds it necessary or satisfying to pander to the current sophomoric fascination and fashion of depicting either fantasy or real "girl on girl" sexual themes. (Does it matter that I resisted using "moronic" in place of sophomoric?)

Psychologist friends tell me these themes, having been quite prevalent in the media for about the last 10 years, especially with the advent of the Internet, have resulted in an increase in female same-sex sexual display from practically zero to commonplace in a generation. It seems that young men and women are now influenced by images in the media to orders of magnitude never before seen in society. And that girls perceive such behavior as expected of them by boys as a sign of desireabilty and conformity and are as casual about it now as their older sisters and mothers were repulsed by it. I'm not sure what all that implies, I'm just repeating some psycho-social data. Maybe it's healthy. Maybe it's the opposite. Maybe it's all just dumb.

If a female nude gets more attention than all other image forms, I guess an image with 2 nude female bodies, especially if they are involved in some kind of sexual activity gets twice as much.

But then, I guess it's important to appeal to the 11-20 year old male demographic.

Someone will probably counter that the image is tastefully done for this genre. What do I know? Besides, my comments probably violate all the forum rules about keeping comments to the image itself and will be removed.

I agree with Venicia. I could not help think "soft porn" when viewing this piece - not because of the nudity but because of the mood and tone of the piece. The positioning of the women, the sterile sexual posing, the internet styling of the photograph, etc... etc... To me it is a detached looking image devoid of sensuality though depicting a highly sensual act - or the suggestion of one.

That aside the lighting is really fabulous and the soft focus of the two in the image. It just leaves me a bit cold I guess.

"Venicia and Rebecca. Two uptight broads. Maybe you need a little girl-girl action to lighten you up a bit."

If that isn't th emost ridiculous stereo-typical male response, I don't know what is.

If you were offended by a picture, and shared your opinion would a response, "go get another guy to give you a ^%$^ job be a viable retort? LOL! Sad silly man.

By the way, great job on the photo. It's not my cup of tea, but you'ev demonstrated great technical ability.

I feel that the glasses on the taller model are somewhat distracting, as is her fisted hand. I think if her hair was down it would have added a more relaxed and natural tone. Overall I love the image, though. I love the white and the balance that does exist between the women. Very erotic without being sexual at all. Great!

I find the shadow underneath the dangling straps of the shorter model annoying. How would you clear that up. I'd love to see a lighting setup diagram, go on - spoil us !! Cheers. Love the image.

yes, I think you should share the details- set up lighting all that.

I like the skin tones and the white heat from the background. Sadly, I dont find this a sex act. nuturing. comforting. sensual yes. (censored self)

I await for you to post your details.

The US is not the only civilized country in the world. There are laws in Europe, too, and I am absolutely sure this is legal; these ladies are old enough. Oh and please don't forget that the biggest porn industry is in the world is in the US.

Moreover, I do not consider this porn or even anything close to that. It's a brilliant picture of two beautiful ladies. And even if this would present lesbian love, SO WHAT? There are gay people everywhere, but perhaps we're just a bit more tollerant in Europe.

About the picture: I like it! It's daring, it's beautiful.

Thanks. I grew up in Europe. England. Distinct shortage of porn there until recently. These two do look borderline, though. Come on, be honest. 16 will get you 20.
