Beethoven cropped - you know, I like it, the picture in the picture...

Reiner, you have a pretty close guess about the piano -- German technology wrapped in an Italian body. It's Schulze Pollmann, formed in 1928 by the merger of two Germany piano builders that had moved to Italy. The founding partner, Paul Pollmann, worked for many years with Ibach in Barmen and with Steinway & Sons in Hamburg before this factory. I fell in love with this piano at the first sight, because it has the mellow sound in the European tradition for my light ears and the soft touch of an Asian keyboard for my weak fingers.

Yes. Carl. Thanks for the comment. I've always admired your piano shots. Piano photos are common, and you did them in a very unique way. Mine is only a everyday snap shot, posted because of the 5000th milestone.

Your self-portrait reminds me that famous Stravinsky by the piano, in terms of man to piano proportaion. You used a wide angle, I assume.
