I like the complex asymmetry of it, combined with some repetitive patterns (toes, for example). Most of all, the black background provides a perfect foil for the brighter composition, a really nice composition. Did you see this before you shot it, or when you were looking at a possible crop?

I wanted a shot of my wife's hands holding her (my daughter's that is) feet, but since neither daughter nor wife are very practiced at holding still, I mainly just set up & started shooting with the hopes that 1 or 2 might stand out (oh the joys of digital.. "delete". "delete". "delete". "hmmm, save").

Very beautiful photo and interesting photo with good composition !

This was taken a while ago (obviously, if you see some of my girls'

more recent shots), but I never requested a critique on it. Would

love know how I did on the black and white conversion (simple

desaturation). I now know how to convert with two hue/saturation

layers, but don't know if it would help here as the tones are few.

Any htoughts, comments, critiques or ratings always appreciated.
