threeleaf 0 Posted June 27, 2004 Nice work here - lines - color - lighting - it has a great feel to it - most people who have been to a beech at this time of the day had a good day and it will probably envoke memories and emotions - well done Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted June 27, 2004 Nice color here. Great lines, looking at it large you see little bird (?) foot prints. Very original view on this, good eye. Link to comment
davidroossien 0 Posted June 27, 2004 I like the color of the sand--much lighter than here in MI. The angles of the lines are interesting--especially toward the top where the waterline shows some wide angle effects. I'm not sure if I like the way the lines lead out of the frame, instead of into the frame, but the wave in the top left does balance it out somewhat. I like the strong foreground. Link to comment
root 0 Posted June 28, 2004 Although I like it as is, I wonder if discarding the stick would have helped focus attention on the bird tracks, as would taking a step forward to crop out the pebble and shadow lower right. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted June 29, 2004 I like the texture, the composition and the colours of this picture but, wasn't it for eagle-eyed Carl, I would not have seen the bird path... What I mean is that, should it be the main subject, is too buried in the orgy of contrast and sharpness of the other sand structures. Cheers, Link to comment
root 0 Posted June 29, 2004 Now that I look more closely, there are two sets. :-) (Sarah saw them too.) Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted June 29, 2004 Thanks for all of the comments. I've been shooting a lot of "tire tracks at the beach" shots lately. I hate people who drive on the beach. This was shot on a very bright day--I just tried to go with it! While I liked the bird tracks, they were not meant to be the subject here, which was supposed to be the tire tracks (which mirror the waterline) that raise my ire. Thanks for all of your comments. I plan to shoot some more of these! Link to comment
scott_lowrey 0 Posted June 29, 2004 Just the right amount of shadow on the sands to make this very interesting viewing! Well captured! Link to comment
