Not the same photo, A.K. Look closely at the previous upload. At least one individual who critiqued the previous upload suggested that it be cropped. I had taken a shot using a longer focal length (thus effectively cropping the scene), so I decided to upload it to my portfolio.

Well, I'm not sure which one I like better, but I guess that technically this one is more likely to please the judges.

This composition makes all the difference in the world! The two trees play against the small "island" in the green field. The frame porportions make it much more pleasant to "read". Excellent! Optics seem better at this focal length too. The green highlights are brighter and richer and the incoming light beam looks less scattered. Awesome! As in the original image I will assume you did not tinker with it too much. 7/7

ahhhh.... Colorado ... no place on earth like it. :-) I like the rays of light coming in from the right. Nice....

I think I prefer...both the shots! The light is rally great here, but colors and composition too. Really beautiful!

I liked the previous one as-it-was, and I commend you for having posted this in-camera long-focal-lens effective crop.

I see something more in this picture, that is the balance between the black trees and the hill in the light-ray path: it seems that the trees sort of anchor the scene, with all its light coulours, fixing a point around which the other things happen.

I think this image is nicer than the other.

Cheers,

Aesthetically excellent Steve, a memory to last a lifetime! I was in the RMNP in the Spring of 1992; one of the finest environments on this beautiful planet. I really like the crepuscular rays through the haze, and that green earth ain't bad. Regards.

There are a number of things i like about this photo.

first: its the natural use of light through the atmosphere.

second: the pleasant scene

third: the lovely green pasture

and finally, the frame , I think, acctually works well.

:)

I LIKE IT.
