Student Model

I have been wanting to photograph this young girl (she's nearly 22 by the way) for sometime. She has very strong features! I only hope I can photograph more of her features later.

 

My intention was to upload another shot of this girl. However, on review, I liked this one the best.

 

.......... I do know that some of you like black and white!

Many will complain that I have placed this photo in the fine art

section, however, I really do think she is worth it!

 

This was the first time this girl had been photographed alone!

Good lighting. Not sure that I like the composition.

As a rule I prefer B&W but color seems to work best here. I can see your draw to the subject and I hope that you have the opportunity to do another shoot with her soon. Jim

I look forward to your comments Owen. I don't think the pose is too original but I do think the girl deserves to be looked at and I certainly enjoyed photographing her!

Sorry for the delay. I agree with you fully that this young woman more than deserves to be looked at. I think the contures of her body are excellent and she has the"Cut" features that I like in a Model. The pose is not unique, as you stated, but if if were cropped in a certain way it would be beautiful as a B&W nude. I am not sure the eye glasses do her any favor either.

 

If you should get the chance to do this as a nude I would also have her have a neutral expression on her face and I might crop the upper part of her head a bit. I agree that it looks better in black and white but you would expect that from me.

 

Let me know your thoughts on my comments and my compliments to the young lady.

The choice I had when taking this photograph was to take it or not to take it. The pose may not be original but it is better than not having the photo at all! I have been asking the young lady to pose for me for sometime. Obviously I would love to photograph her nude but I am not sure that is going to happen anytime soon! Even if she does, I am not sure that she would let me upload them.

You know I always appreciate your comments and with your comment above there really isn't anything to add. What you say makes perfect sense although we disagree slightly on composition. I think the idea would be to take as many different pictures as possible!
