this harmony of color is broken in a very good way from the very irregular shape of shell.

This is a really fine photograph. The composition is very imaginative. I would like to see the sea shell about 1/3 stop brighter and the sun about 1 stop darker. But it is still a good job! Regards.

I love the contrasts. Agree with a bit brighter white to help it even pop more. Could be our screens as I myself am trying to get better 'punch' from my uploads.

 

I like the piece even more with the right third cut off. This stops my eye from constantly being dragged over there because so much space has been given over to it. Try cropping it with you hand and you will notice your eye can no longer 'escape' out of the image there. You then also study the shell more, meaning more time looking at your image. Bottom line of success.

Keep composition as is since that's what give this image an air of originality. I guess shells are becoming popular here as summer is in full force ^_^
