paul_scott1 0 Posted June 23, 2004 This has mystery, suspense and subtlety. What's the line to the right of the model? Link to comment
sol exposure 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Paul, thank you for your nice, descriptive words. It is part of the backdrop (canvas). Link to comment
alberto_quintal 2 Posted June 25, 2004 Great picture, "gran contra luz" congratulations. Link to comment
John Peri 1,032 Posted July 23, 2004 Hilary, I would have turned her so as to see the back just a little more. The line of the buttocks is barely visible yet is what could highlight an image like this. Nice colouring and the line doesn't bother me at all. Link to comment
John Peri 1,032 Posted July 23, 2004 PS. I saw the comment that you just made under my picture. In fact, there is one that is more comparable with this one above, for the reason that I point out. All the best Hilary, John Link to comment
digitalrebel 0 Posted May 6, 2005 You have commented on the background in one of my images. Let me return the favor here. I've noticed that many of your images in this folder are shot againgst a curtained window background lit by sunlight, which makes the subject rather dark and the background rather bright. Usually the eye goes first to the brightest parts of an image, and by posing your shots as they are, you create, with your model (I guess it is you), what is called "negative space" ... i.e. the shape has to be defined by its surroundings, not by the shape itself. Interesting. And I really like the model. She's very beautiful. ;o) Link to comment
