Nice shot.

I wonder what is the original colour photo to be like. Could you post it on as well?

Beautiful shot. A well worn path, photographing the Calla lily, but well worth treading. Nice bit of originallity to move to duo-tone. Good composition, but perhaps a touch too much contrast between the lily and the foliage. I also would like to see the colour original. (7/5)

I'd try to bring out more details in highlights by adding more contrast in the black plate unless it was a purpose. Otherwise very nice photo. A7/O7

Robert, a great result from a 'tired photographic suject'. It's a delicate balance to get detail in the lilly flower and yet keep the contrast high enough to prevent it coming out too flat. I'd be happy with it. Best, LM

I've posted this before, but I'm still interested in getting a some

more feedback. It's a duotone, and while the shot is a bit cliche,

I'm pretty happy with the results. Comments, ratings, suggestions

appreciated. Thanks.

Robert, this is a great shot...I seem to never get enough of well photographed calla lilies. My personal preference would be to bring out the highlights of the background foliage a little more, but there is also something to be said for the subtleness of the shot you posted. Keep 'em coming!

I think what I really like about this image is the contrast between the light lily and the rich almost velvety background. It looks like brown velvet and I feel as if I could almost touch it.. Very beautiful shot...

A very nice shot, with good detail in the highlights. I don't know if you would want to provide more detail in the shadows: it would work either way. Main suggestion for improvement would be to change the cropping - the lily seems too confined in these frames. My two cents

While you may believe this image is a cliche, I do not. I feel your creative use of the duotone makes this very original. The softness of the petal's texture compliments the hard tonal contrast. Regards.
