tc_reed 0 Posted June 20, 2004 Is the daisy in the front too distracting? Comments please. Link to comment
james e. petts 0 Posted June 20, 2004 Hmm, not a bad attempt, and the flowers in the mid-ground are deliciously sharp, but two problems: (1) the flower in the foreground is quite blurred, yet, being in the foreground, it is big, and, being white, it is distracting; it would have been better if this had been sharp and the others blurred; and (2) the lighting is too contrasty. I don't know what time of day that it was when you took this photograph, but I suspect that it wasn't early morning or late evening, and I doubt that it was cloudy (flower photographs should usually be taken when it's overcast). A lot of the background is almost jet-black. The fact that it's a bit underexposed hasn't helped either (the white subjects would have thrown your camera's meter off balance: use a grey card and exposure lock to compensate for this). Still, a nice attempt :-) Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted September 6, 2004 I really need to start carrying items for helping me with balance. Mighta helped people notice the spider as well. ;) Link to comment
