I really like this photo. the lines and balance of it. the streetlamp echoed by the trees in the midground. just excellent.

Thanks WJ. I think the atmosphere radiates itself. New York is timeless and then again when you see images like this, it looks like time stood still.

Your comment shed a smile on my face because temperatures here (Europe) have dropped considerably since last week so I just lit my central heating again. Good to see there are people with both humour and intelligence on PN

Thank you Jeremy. I always feel, when I shoot images likes this one in New York, that time has stood still. Especially in B&W. Very retro. But, winters in NY are bitterly cold compared to the ones in The Netherlands, I like the extremes.

Ze hebben je er gelukkig nog niet afgedonderd, raar om dit zo te zien in de zomer. Mooi misterieus plaatje die lantaarnpaal doet het erg goed. Maar je weet ondertussen wel dat ik anders naar'pictures'kijk

 

 

Ik heb verschillende stijlen. Die van jouw is heel herkenbaar maar ik onderzoek alle andere wegen. 1 stijl is voor mij te beperkt. Maar bedankt voor je comment. groet
