Spring Thunderstorm

chris_conrad

Afternoon storm looming over a relic cabin in Utah. I was running late driving from Moab to Boise, but the timing was near perfect when I passed this cabin that lies about 1/2 mile off the highway. I parked and ran through the sage brush. I got about 5 different compositions--This is the 2nd I've posted. Red (+2) filter, F22.

This is the 2nd composition of this cabin/storm combination. I

think I will post one more soon. I like the curving, dark cloud in

the right, and I like the implied movement of it towards the left

sky. Any input from anyone out there? Thanks! cc

Sorry Andrea--I didn't expose any transparencies this day. The colors were actually a bit flat (about 1pm)--that's why I used a Red filter to boost the contrast anyway. Thanks for the kind words and rating. cc

i'm interested how it will look with red 28 filter=]]]] red 2 filter already gives dark blue sky. so is red 28 filter useful for any photos?

This is a #25 Red Filter which is equivalent to +2 stops (darkness). The higher numbers, as far as I know are +3, +4 stops etc. I would imagine they enhance contrast even more--thus Deep Black skies and bright White clouds?
