bwcombs 0 Posted June 17, 2004 Very nice. Soft pastel colors are very subtle. I like the way the background works with these colors. Link to comment
ljk 0 Posted June 17, 2004 I too like the interaction between the two. So beautiful in its coloration and tones...it would look lovely in one of my rooms..... Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 17, 2004 This is fabulous, Hanna! I love the muted tones. I also reall like that we can see all of one flower, and only part of the other. Just gorgeous!! Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted June 20, 2004 these flowers are beautiful. but this has been overdone and is not worth pursuing. I would recommend shooting in different light as you have great technical excellence Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 20, 2004 hanna, your execution of this image is flawless, meaning, the lighting the composition etc. But this style, composition with this color has been done many a times. Hence not an original image. The color combination, in my opinion is very 80"ish. You find a lot of flowery wall papers with this combination. I hope you take this in good sport. This is my honest opinion. Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted June 21, 2004 -M-B, thankyou for your honest opinion, which is what I always expect on my photos. I am however slightly perplexed at the fact you find the natural colours of a flower 80's-ish. This is how I bought them and I expect they have been this colour for years although possibly produced from cross-pollination or hybridization. When I photograph flowers I'm not looking for 'original' ways to portray them. I only try to capture what I see or feel when I look at them. I'm not arguing with your comment, only explaining my own approach to my subjects. I hope you'll continue to comment. Thanks. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 21, 2004 the 80'ish mention was the background color selection with the color of the flower. One question for my learning is, did you use some sort of a diffuser for lighting? the lighting seems so perfect. another question, do you use a macro lens with this? Thanks, Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted June 22, 2004 No diffuser, no flash - just ambient window light. I probably used a macro lens to get this close, but to be honest I can't remember. Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted January 22, 2005 I like this composition a lot...hey if it is done before...who cares...its your original! and that`s what matters... very good Job indeed! Link to comment
