the skin almost looks metalic, like some shots I have seen in nude BnW Coffee table books. I like it. I would suggest (this is in no way a knock on this shot, this is great) if you have an opportunity to try it either with the gentleman having the same metalic treatment (or oil or whatever it is)on his face or with a New Orleans style mask or even out of the pic and just his hands exactly where they are now. The comment is to suggest something new - not improve your shot :)

The lighting and tones on the left hand side of the shot are great, but then the right side doesn't quite match up. I know it contrasts, but .....

Whoa, a geat image. I love the look of the skin, and the look in the man's eyes. However, his hands are far more contrasty than his face, which is distracting after a first glace.

Andre - Viewed large I find this one even more interesting and it conveys for me a kind of midas touch between the two. The metallic skin tones take it further than being "just two people" and transfer her into a work of art and him into the artist. Might be reading too much into it here, but an amazing piece of art in all ways. Tony

NICE... the texture in the skin is just great, maybe just a touch to hard? But I like the overal feel of the image very sensual. Thumbs up...

I am fascinated by your technic. In this picture like in others from your portfolio, you manage to have the foreground with metallic effects (if you could tell me how you make it, I look for that since months...) while the background has some mat carbon powder tones. For me, it's simply THE master contrast of textures. Never seen that before, simply fantastic. May I recommend you to try it on landscapes or still lifes ? Really wish to see it...

Pose and Composition is wonderful

Although I tend to feel uncomfortable with the nude or semi nude photographs, There are two things that make this one exceptional. The first is that the hands seem to be holding her very gently. The second is the expression on his face (particulary his eyes gazing upward). It seems reverent. Thank you for helping me expand my view. maggie

Love the light on her body, texture, crop, all great! The only thing that bothers me here is the light on the man's face. He seems to have a spot of light straight into his nose! It seems too artificial. Other than that I would like the contrast of textures between them! :) Good job! ;)

Conceptually, I don't quite understand the meaning of the image. Epsecially since the male model's hands are also 'painted'...but, teh face isn't :| So, does that mean that if you touch her/it (the body) you become part of it...?

 

Estetically, I would have removed the bikini altogether. Especially since the bikini top's loop is right in front of the male's face (chin), very distracting.

 

IMO, If you re-visit the idea you'd have a great image.

I love it. Love the silvery glow on the skin, the look of the man, the composition.
