Afternoon storm looming over a relic cabin in Utah. I was running late driving from Moab to Boise, but the timing was near perfect when I passed this cabin that lies about 1/2 mile off the highway. I parked and ran through the sage brush. I got about 5 different compositions--maybe I'll upload another. Red (+2) filter, F22.

Thank you for your time spent with this image. Is it just another

log cabin shot in your opinion? The composition--does it hold your

attention? I'm displaying this photo on my wall beside

my "Firehouse Ruin". I think the fact that both are abandoned

dwellings with similar "rising" compositions is very interesting and

telling of the human saga. Thanks! cc

Wow! By George, I believe you've really done it! You've actually captured TIME!

 

How cool this shot is. The sky really adds nice drama to the old homestead ruin. The landscape is great icing on your cake.

Is it just another log cabin picture? How can you even ask? Does it catch my attention? I am riveted. Worth running a half mile through sage brush to capture? Oh yes! (You must be in much better shape than me.)
