I think the coloring of this photo is really something, but with the flower on one side and the girl on the other, it seems they're kind of fighting for the spotlight. Maybe if the girl was more center? Wonderful lighting.

Beautiful shot I can feel the heat of the desert. I like the treatment on the plant - it looks like ice. I see the same pretty lady in some of your shots - a daughter I am guessing - my kids are still sort of at the stage of holding up their hands when the camera comes out. I have a question and maybe you can email me with the answer. As I also live here in Austin (Round Rock) actually I was wondering what is there in the way of learning photography mega cheaply / free, or where photographers get together and share skills etc. The reason I ask is because I know next to nothing and I want to learn without taking a big expensive course. Thanks in advance and keep shooting - you have a great eye.

Actually, I like the slightly softer focus on the "princess" and sharper rendering of the plant. And the juxtaposition of subjects in the frame seems perfect to me. The blue adds a coolness to the scene that is almost otherworldly, in light of it being in the desert. It's kind of mystical. Nice work!

nICELY COMPSITION BUT I LIKE TO SEE THIS ONE IN BLACK AND WHITE. THE IDEA IS GREAT BUT I FEEL PCITURE SHOULD WORK BETTER IN MEDIUM TONES.
