brica719 0 Posted June 12, 2004 Very nice! Were the colors manipulated at all? The blue light is very intriguing. Excellent shot of a Belgium snowstorm :-) 7/7 and 7/7 Link to comment
article9 0 Posted June 12, 2004 Actually, I've just recreated the white balance. The white lights in the foregrond were incandescent lightning and so it gave an orange color to the snow. The blue lights in the background were an other type of street lightning (fluorescent tubes). They became cyan because I desaturated almost all the reds and oranges... Thanks for your comments. ljk 0 Posted July 3, 2004 I really like this! Highlighted power lines criss cross, the falling snow gives it a sketchy appearance, and the stop sign really pops. Silence permeates the image, and thus my spirit when I look at it.... Link to comment
elaine_roberts1 0 Posted November 2, 2004 I like your "Passages" series best of all, and I like this photo the best of those. It is perfectly balanced in every dimension - line, form, shape, color, and density. The golden mean formed by the telephone pole/wires. The two lights and the stop sign form a triangle on top of that. Almost monochrome - but then, just enough color softly filtering through the snow to make it interesting. Makes me miss Minnesota (even in winter)! Link to comment
