'Lake Art on Canvas'

pradeep1

Kodaikanal is a 'hill station' down south and its a beautiful place to chill out. I had a nice trip, but it rained quite a bit, Took lots of photographs and showcasing these photos in a series. hope you like them. With this photo i have tried to get the effect of a painting on canvas cheers!

I am almost done with my series - 'Reflections of Kodaikanal'. I was

just wondering how it would be to work a bit on PS to accentuate this

picture, because it looked more like a painting. Would love to hear

your comments, suggestions and ratings. cheers and happy shooting!

The painting effect is seen more in the large sized picture so please view the large size picture, thanks and cheers!

I usually don?t get very excited with such manipulations but this one works just fine. You?ve chosen very good image for this application. Congratulations!

Excellent representation of impressionistic art. Worthy of hanging. Hate to say this at the last minute but, I would crop small amount off the left side tree to clean up the light at the bottom right. Probably a nit pick...sorry. Regards, Howard

Man!! You are very creative!! To envision this picture takes some talent! But it is also the perfect picture for it...like you mentioned it is best viewed large! Great on Pradeep..I don't see anything wrong with it! Regards Rajeev!

Pretty cool looking picture. The sky looks like it was a little blown out in your original. From my own experience in trying to deal with the blown out sky, I can telll that your tree tops were affected from trying to darken the sky it looks like.

I think the tree bright spot at bottom right might be cropped for less distraction and I think a more vertical picture would be a little stronger as well. just my opinions of course.

it's a lovely scene for certain. You have a consistant "peaceful" theme lately. nice stuff.

Have to agree with Joe that you got this peaceful, tranquil kind of mood going on lately. That's good because we can all use some at end of work day! I'm not a fan of this very evident PS effect as I've seen them all a bit too often. Hey, I'll bet that the original, non-PS version is dandy in itself.

Pradeep, you have used the digital image manipulation with a nice idea. I dont like image manipulations, but I liked the concept of "canvasing the image". Good concept and neatly done. - Rajaram (Hyderabad)

The composition of this scene fits well with the canvas effect. Nice, bright colors and enough detail to grab your attention. Nice work!
