Way too flat and lacking contrast for me.

I'm curious about Dennis's comment about flatness and lack of contrast. The clothing color and contrast look good to me, as does the skin tone on the arm. The face was shadowed, but it seems to me there's still adequate detail. Surroundings were decidedly warm, but I don't see a lack of contrast there, either. Neither do I feel that warmth detracts from the mood of the image. And mood is what this photo is about. Enough said--at least on my part!

I really like this photo. It is a quiet intimate moment. I like the color and the contrast. It has a painterly look.
