Stock-Photos 1 Posted June 8, 2004 This snowy egret was primping his head feathers. Seemed like it was trying to look beeter for the photo session. Link to comment
shadow-island 0 Posted June 8, 2004 I must admit, his expression and look made me chuckle. Roof or not, nicely done. :) Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted June 8, 2004 Wonderful. I've been having a lot of trouble, lately, trying to get a Great White Egret on film - especially in sunny situations such as these. What was the exposure technicque used? Marvelous! Link to comment
micheleberti 0 Posted June 8, 2004 Never seen something like that... and u took this greatly: great exposure and composition. Congrats. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 9, 2004 I've been scanning slides at home (but may need some 4000dpis!) since the winter, and I see that you've gone digital as I am looking to do. I am grateful to you for helping re-kickstart my photography. Doing a (group) show now in Lower Manhattan, with seven prints on the World Trade Center... This one: great capture, comp and exposure. Just wondering about the not so tiny aqua triangle discoloration at lower left that could be easily cloned out. best regards - Gary S Link to comment

martin_cabo 0 Posted May 18, 2007 How on Earth did you manage to capture the bird?, cause you didn't use a zoom of any kind, did you take the shot with a remote shooter? You know birds, they are all so nervous and they won't pose for you up close. Link to comment
Stock-Photos 1 Posted May 19, 2007 To answer Martin's question, this bird was not nervous and was not afraid of people. The owner of the hotel which the bird was loitering at, even had a name for the bird. Freddie I think. The bird hung out, looking for handouts. I just happened to catch him when he was combing his hair. See thumbnails, linked to below. Link to comment
