Free Spirits

I was driving along a lonely road near sunset and found these three curious fellows looking westward. They just stayed there, staring, just long enough for me to set up my tripod and capture them. Once I took the shot they ran off almost instantly. That's serendipity.

Yes I think the contrast on PhotoSp or equivalent was overused. But I think you have a good grasp on composition unlike many of the top rated photos here who are good on A but poor in Composition. That's my opinion when I see your photos

Thanks for the feedback everyone. The clouds appear to be too pink to the eye but they are that colour on the slide. The sun was setting and they really were a deep pink like this. I underexposed by about one-half stop. Maybe I should have used one-third. At any rate, I could "fix" the pink in PS but I think I'll leave it for now. Thanks again. David

Knowing what slide is, I buy the colors on this one. I have the soft spot for horses reserved too.

Nice job. Keen eye. Interesting portfolio.

Cheers!

Old Fuji Velvia - that is to say expired, or non-refrigerated Velvia - will notoriously display this magenta cast - hence the reason it shows up on the slide. Professional film requires professional attention, as they say.

You can easily adjust it in Photoshop.
