Good to see a new posting from you Claude. You have been away for a while. (Me too but I have managed to upload a couple of OLDish pictures!)

 

I like this a lot.

 

I am assuming this is a child. This may seem obvious, but if you cover the nose, the girl could be a young adult. Scary really!

 

Enlighten me please!

 

It is a very natural picture. People do not keep there eyes level in real life. However, it would suit my sensibilites (or lack of them) if the eyes were level.

By the way. It is difficult to gauge the look! Fear, cold amusement or boredom (I hope not!) The look is a little cold ...... or is it me?

Hi David, well I wasn't really away, I was just so busy doing my horseriding competition fotos etc (all assignments) that I didn't have the time to post anything worthwhile here...

You're right, it is a very young girl (she's about 4 or 5 or so), and her look was hm, a little bit shy, scared, and most of all emotionless (but she continued to stare like that at my camera for minutes... a really good model! If only the adult ones would be like that!)

as for the eyes... to be honest I didn't even pay attention if they are level or not... the good thing about PN!

what I wanted to achieve was to, well first, show those amazing eyes, and to give the viewer a sense fot that amazing, long deep and essentially emotionless look! seems like it worked...

Well, when you see someone with eyes like that it is compulsory to photograph them! Very well done Claude, this is very striking, the girls complexion is great and the level of detail also (see the individual hairs in her eyebrows). Good job man.
