This is a different angle of another shot that I submitted a while

back that I finally got around to scanning. Is this an ok

composition? I wasn't sure whether to crop more of the foreground out

or not. Also, any thoughts on the middle-floor area? Distracting? No

big deal?

good subject and composition. to me, this shot is YELLING to be converted to black/white. another interesting vantage point would be taking the shot from more of an angle instead of straighton. that would also be interesting i think. good job!

jeff, i didnt see your other version of this shot in your folder. to me, the mid ground lighting isn't that big of a deal. i hope you dont mind me taking the liberty of doing this, but when i saw this pic, this is what it was saying to me.

Don't mind at all. Now I can't wait to get home (my monitor here at work is crap) to see what I think of the B&W version (so far so good, I like it. The other shot in my folder is the same place, but a straight-on of the middle portion (flanked on both sides by arched passageways like the ones in this shot.). Thanks for your interest!

Very nice shot, Jeff. Makes me want to walk down through these arches to see what's out the other end!!

Kind regards, Chris

P.S. Thanks for your recent comments!

Just curious, what do you think of "asim's" ideas for black and white? This is a place I'll probably have a chance to visit again (though no time soon) & I wouldn't mind experimenting a little

Hola Jeff.

La de color gana por mucho, me gustan mucho las composiciones verticales y esta es una de las grandes, tambien me gusta mucho que el primer arco este desenfocado y vaya ganado con la profundidad.

Saludos.
