Thanks Ian. Usually the people take pictures from a lower angle and point of view. We have seen them many time. This gave it a bit more umphh.

Very nice. I've tried this one before- I think you did a much better job than I did with lighting. This needs to be shot at the right time of day. Very dramatic. Nice job!

Thanks Michael. I was lucky to learn from my mistakes and the fact that I was in New York for a long stretch on a sabatical. So after 2 flukes I was lucky the 3rd time. Love that city, miss it even more :(

It makes me wonder even more how it can be called the big apple. This is a much more relevant and accurate idea of New York. Over here we would call it the big prick, but maybe that has different connotations for you. The photo reminds me of Charlie Chaplin in that futuristic film he did. On another line, you half expect a giant wasp to emerge from one of those holes, not a human being, no, no, definitely not a human being.

Thanks Paul for shedding a big smile on my face. It's nice that people see different things in photos and in your case I can picture it perfectly what you had in mind. I am not a New York in the sense that I live their but I do spend quite some time in the "Big Prick". And do feel totally at home. Never boring when you run around with your camera's to find interesting topics to shoot.

I hope I demonstrate that I do give much more comments than You might expect. But as long as I put more efferts in commenting on otherones photos than I learn from the comments on my onw photo's I am forced to learn by looking at as much photo's as possible and evaluating them regarding my own knowledge. In respect for the artist / photographer I mostly leave a rating as a simple swift comment. It is my expression of my appreciation that the photo is shared via photonet. For those asking for it I still doing an effort. I hope You have had something on it and is has not been a waste of efforts.

A clear demonstration on how people could and maybe should rate. They are very elaborate and if you had to do that with everybody I can understand you had to give up your daytime job and become a fulltime PN rater so I don't expect that from you :). But on low rated photographs it would be handy. Bedankt en geniet ervan.

Love it! Symmetry is dead on! Very well balanced photo. Time of day worked well too for just the right amount of lighting in your sky. Kept reflections down too.

More than excellent!...perspective, light and shodows, symetrical...gray sacle!!..i have seen this building in different pictures...and thise is the best one!!...kind regards!...(take a look on my cat...)
