home page1 0 Posted June 4, 2004 Another shot from a series at and near Jenny Lake. Thanks for your feedback. Link to comment
yjyu99 0 Posted June 4, 2004 nice. can the different folds. but the cloud shouldn't be there. Link to comment
shadow-island 0 Posted June 4, 2004 I agree, the cloud distracts alittle. Never the less, good image. However, when I was at Sandals Dunns River, I dont remember seeing this mountian range... :) Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Good sense of scale by mean of little hut and the peak, nice composition that breaks in to 1/3 of blue sky, 1/3 of granite, and 1/3 of greenery. What doesn't quite work is the front lighting that kills all the good things going. Ken, I don't know how close you are to this location, but if you are, you should go back and shoot right before sunset, perhaps? Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted June 5, 2004 This was, like many of my pics, taken while I was on vacation. It wasn't one of those planned pics near where I live. I agree that the lighting is flat but I don't think that's ALWAYS a bad thing. Thanks for your comment. Link to comment
pawel_stradowski 0 Posted June 5, 2004 I like the colors and the crop. It' pretty nice, but there is not much originality. Maybe the little cloud, but on the other had this cloud is too small and distracts my attention giving nothing in exchange. An additional issue that I should mention is jpeg compression. It's too visible, but I don't know who to blame, you or photo.net machine, which compresses images itself even if the photo meets all size/specification requirements. Cheers Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted June 5, 2004 All good feedback above. Have to tell you, from someone who has never seen this in real life, this image could motivate one to make the trip. Regrads, Howard Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 5, 2004 EXcellent colors. The points that jump out at me are already mentioned. I like the scale shown by the little building. I like the picture divided into thirds. The cloud is a tad distracting but not horrible. The lighting is flat. Pretty though. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Damn you Ken...I'm having bad out west withdrawals--four months now;-) and this doesn't help.... Take the lighting as you get it. In the mountains it doesn't stay the same too long. I've got to get around the Jenny Lake area more. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted June 5, 2004 Thanks for you comment, Dennis. Jackson Hole is an amazing place. Toni and I are gonna have to go back. Link to comment
pradeep1 0 Posted June 5, 2004 what a place ken, this is awesome, what clarity too, i love it. its just the sky, did u use a polarizer? it looks a bit too saturated. cheers! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted June 5, 2004 No polarizer on this shot. Just some things Dennis Jones taught me about Photoshop. I really need to learn more about filters, though. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted June 6, 2004 Very good composition which shows the size of the mount compared with the cabin. Link to comment
