Sunrise through the kasbah window

salvatore.mele

Kasbahs are old fortified palaces which in some cases are restored and converted to host people. That's the view from the window of the room to which we treated ourselves.

I was stunned by the sunrise light, and thought of getting a

two-in-one, with the layering of colours outside the window and the

light effects of the iron bars... I am not so convinced of the result,

though...

Comments, suggestion, criticism is more than welcome!

Everything is beautiful, the only thing that I don't really like is this big black frame.. best regards

I have been in Jebel Sahro too and remember that warm evening light. Imho: You captured a very nice atmosphere. Maybe a little too much dark and therefore, not enough place for the light's reflection and the shadow's arabesque; the road (or track) down there isn't much interesting a subject. Keep on posting, cheers ! chris

I'd have been rather pleased if I'd got such a good result myself, but since you ask for ideas I have two modest ones to offer.

The outside scene is not especially noticeable (to me at least) so how about:

1) something more on the inside say left (the basket possibly given more prominence, or someone looking out?)

or

2) make more of the intricate shadow falling on the window and wall on the right, by a move of viewpoint to the left.

Just ideas (that I probably wouldn't have thought of if I'd been there!). Beautiful light.
